Mieke Van Dijk

After working with Acrylics for several years I started exploring what it would be like to paint with oil. I love it the way it can be manipulated,leans itself for blending and how it takes to the canvas. I haven’t looked back and it is my favorite medium. I experimented for a while with pen and ink sketches. I feel very connected to Nature and am an avid gardener. It is giving me endless inspiration and I love to paint flowers and landscapes. Other subjects I have painted are portraits of children, birds and pets, old villages and historic buildings. I feel very fortunate to be able to study with outstanding art instructors and to have been able to have attended many excellent workshops.
