My artistic journey has been 30 years in the making. Gradually through experimentation and sometimes contemplation I have neared some form of a style. The primary concept is to present the viewer with something interesting to look at. To this end, a painting needs some structure, design, and perhaps color and texture. I think of my art as interpreted realism, encouraging the viewer to interact with the painting through a gazing movement that tends not to be well captured with fixed position photographs.
